Large Colin Gorry (b. 1952) Vase

£695.00
sold

A scarce large vase by Colin Gorry (b. 1952).

Superb piece of work from a personal favourite of mine. Of big scale with a boulster bellied off centre form and covered in a cream glaze. Like all of his vases the lip is very unusual with Gorry’s signature altered and reassembled hand-built nuances.

There is not a huge amount of Gorry’s work out there as he only made pots for several years in the 1980’s. He was also assistant to Colin Pearson (1923 - 2007).

There is a wonderful large jug by Gorry that sits in the V&A.

43cm tall, C1984.

Overall in good condition. Slight shallow nick to the foot (does not detract).

Provenance - Bonhams, May 2006.

London collection or worldwide shipping available on all items. Please email beforehand for a quote, or select pick up at checkout.
