Jean Cocteau (1889 – 1963) Letter
£0.00

Letter with drawing by Jean Cocteau (1889 – 1963).

Cocteau was one of the most versatile figures of the 20th Century. Moving fluidly between literature, cinema, theatre, and design, he created dreamlike works that explored love, myth, and the imagination. His letter writing was an extension of his artistic life, using them not merely as private correspondence but as canvases for his drawings and poetry.

C1960, France.

Provenance

Bonhams, Paris. Impressionist and Modern Art, 19th December 2018. Lot 85.

Private Collection, Switzerland.
